スタッフコラムVol.3 心の「オフタイム」確保できてますか?

Staff Column Vol.3 Are you able to secure some mental "off time"?

In the midst of your busy days with work, housework, childcare, etc., are you able to take the time to switch off your mind and relax?

Off time is time to let go of work, housework, and other things you have to do and rest your mind and body.

If you don't make an effort to switch between on and off, you may not know clearly whether you are properly relaxed.

On a personal note, in the past I would often be working on my computer until late into the night, which would leave me feeling refreshed the next morning and would sometimes make it hard to concentrate on my work during the day.

That should be it.
During the day at work, the sympathetic nervous system generally dominates and you are in a tense state.
At night, the parasympathetic nervous system becomes dominant, allowing the body to relax and make it easier to fall asleep.

It is said that being in a chronic state of tension until late at night can disrupt your biological rhythm and cause autonomic nervous system disorders.

Therefore, in order to avoid physical and mental discomfort, it is important to maintain a regular routine in your life and to have a clear distinction between work and leisure.

It is said that having a clear distinction between work and leisure time improves your performance during the day, so be conscious of your "on" and "off" periods.

"Off time" is time for yourself.
Take a relaxing bath, listen to your favorite music, or read a book.
If you feel comfortable, you are deeply relaxed.

Relax your shoulders.
Don't forget to be kind to yourself.
