日焼け止めの「顔用・からだ用」の違い、知っていますか?

Do you know the difference between sunscreens for the face and body?

UV rays are gradually getting stronger, so sunscreen has become a must when going outside.

Sunscreens are sold in three types: for the face, for the body, and for the whole body.
Products for the body and whole body have a stretchy texture, are often available in large quantities, are inexpensive and easy to pick up.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever wondered if it's okay to use it on the face...
Why are there separate parts used?
You might imagine that body-use ones are made for the body, but today I will explain the difference.

Differences between facial and body skin

Although the structure of the skin is the same, the thickness of the stratum corneum, dermis, subcutaneous fat, etc. varies, so the skin on the face is thinner and more delicate than that on the body.
In addition, since the skin on the face has many sebaceous glands, depending on the ingredients, it can be prone to problems such as clogged pores.

Characteristics of face and body sunscreens

●For face ✔Makeup effect (skin tone correction, tone up, shine)
✔Hypoallergenic✔Moisturizing effect

For the body✔Good stretch✔High UV protection✔Large capacity, many inexpensive

What happens if you use it the other way around?

When using body products on the face

Many of them contain alcohol or are highly irritating, so they can easily cause damage.
*This is the same as not using body cream on your face.

When using face cream on the body

Facial products often contain powder to prevent makeup from coming off, and if you use it on your body, it may get on your clothes.
It doesn't spread as well as the body cream, so it can be difficult to spread.

For use on both face and body

Sunscreens can be used on the entire body, and generally contain a combination of UV absorbing agents and UV scattering agents.
If you are using it on your face, we recommend checking for skin irritation before use.
If you have sensitive skin, it is best to only use facial products on your face.
Choose non-chemical products that are free of UV absorbers.
*Check whether the ingredients are listed as zinc oxide or titanium oxide. Quasi-drugs may be labeled differently (e.g., fine particle Ti oxide).
We recommend alcohol-free products or products that can be removed with soap.

Check the usability, burn resistance, burden on the skin and functionality to choose the sunscreen that's right for you.
