Are additive-free cosmetics safe?

Are additive-free cosmetics made from 100% natural ingredients, without any chemicals or additives?

The answer is NO.
Additive-free cosmetics are cosmetics that do not contain any of the old designated ingredients.

[What are the old designated ingredients?]
These are 102 types of ingredients designated by the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law that may cause allergies and other skin problems.

In other words, even if they use other dangerous ingredients, preservatives, or petroleum-derived chemicals, they can still be called additive-free cosmetics. If synthetic cosmetics are dangerous, it is natural to want to use natural ones, but unfortunately, the ingredients that are unsafe for the skin are not just the old designated ingredients.

[Examples of dangerous ingredients]
●Synthetic surfactants...sodium lauryl sulfate, triethanolamine, etc.●Mineral oil (petroleum-derived)...mineral oil, etc.●Synthetic colorants...red No. XX, yellow No. XX, etc.

Just because a cosmetic product is additive-free doesn't mean it's safe.

What is the difference between additive-free cosmetics and natural cosmetics?
●Additive-free cosmetics = cosmetics that do not contain the old designated ingredients
●Natural cosmetics = cosmetics that use a lot of ingredients extracted from plants

Natural cosmetics contain plant extracts, but they also contain impurities and ingredients that are not good for the skin.
There are no skin care products that are made from 100% natural ingredients.
In other words, even if a cosmetic contains natural ingredients, it cannot be said that it is safe.

summary

It is understandable that we are attracted to additive-free and natural cosmetics by their names, but we must first check the ingredients and determine what effect they will have on our skin and the properties of the ingredients.
To use cosmetics comfortably, choose cosmetics that contain ingredients that are not likely to harm the body.
